MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

October 12, 2021 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. by President Jack Winkleman.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes for September meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Frank Wildeman. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Jon Gunnels gave his report. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Marvin Daniels. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Christmas ornament cutouts are available.

Show Committee:

Show is October 23 and 24 2021, at the 4H Center In the Banquet Hall. We still need volunteers to sign up to man the door to sell door addmission. Set up will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday October 22, 2021. We have 21 out of 24 tables in use. Best table display. Saturday by 7:30 A.M.

Old Business:

Ticket sale cutoff is on Sunday at noon. We had 9 students at the Rich Wetherbee seminar this past weekend. I think everyone that participated had a good learning experience. Jack Winkleman, Kathy Vonderahe, Steve Eli, Phil Adkins, Roy Kline, Bill Kelly, Danny Conley, Marvin Daniels, and Gene Sutton.

New Business:

November is the Club Officer Election meeting. The nominating committee headed by Mark Meyer will start looking for officer candidates. Please consider serving on the nominating committee if asked. Please, please help share the load by considering taking on a Club officer's position.

November mini seminar Robin will be offering woodburned ornaments. Please bring in your woodburners.

Seminars:

Upcoming mini seminars include: Tonight-Jack will have cutouts for a Dale Green cowboy with seasonal themed options and November Robin will be offering a mini seminar on woodburned ornaments. December is our Christmas party.

Show and Tell:

Bill Kelly showed his stacked pumpkins, Indian and cardinals.

Marvin Daniels showed his bark carvings and stacked pumpkins.

Roy Kline showed his fan birds.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her santa.

Frank Wildeman showed his bear.

Some One showed pumpkins but I did not get a name.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and give to Robin Meyer.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made a motion to adjourn and Bill Kelly seconded. The motion carried.
