Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 6:06 by our President Jack Winkleman. We welcomed guests Bobby Hill and Chad Edmison who both became new members this evening. Jack mentioned that new members will be presented with a knife, gouge, and glove as long as supplies last.
Minutes of previous meeting:
There was a motion to accept the minutes made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Danny Conley. Our secretary was out of town.
Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer Roy Kline gave the treasurer's report. Jeff Hancock made the motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jesse Ives.
Library Committee:
Our librarian was out of town. Jack said that Ben Meyer and Steve Eli would inventory the library in April. Excess items will need to find a new home. Maybe a sale or auction.
Show Committee:
Kathy had "Save the Date" flyers available for members and also for the upcoming appearance of the club at the Archery Meet in April.
The show committee will meet at 5PM prior to the April club meeting.
Old Business:
A reminder that there is a sales/trade table available at meetings for members to be able to sell, trade, or give away tools, books, etc., that you are no longer using.
2025 dues need to be paid by the end of tonight's meeting. Our by-laws state that we have to set our yearly roster at the close of the March meeting based on those that have paid their dues.
40th year patches are available from Roy.
This year's name tag competition will take place place at the August meeting.
Our club will again demonstrate carving and promote the club at Archery Competition on April 12th in Princeton, IN.
New Business:
Jon Gunnels had some green Holly wood available in his truck for anyone that wanted some.
Roy had wood that the club owns available for sale.
Seminars:
Tonight's club seminar was a Doug Linker Santa ornament presented by Kathy Vonderahe. Next month Frank Wildeman will be presenting the seminar.
Show and Tell:
Multiple members showed their carvings including some of the hearts we did at last month's club seminar.
Half Pot:
The half pot was won by Jack Armstrong.
Adjournment:
Jeff Hancock made the motion to adjourn and Jon Gunnels seconded it.
