MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

April 8, 2025 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. by Treasurer Roy Kline.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve March meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Jon Gunnels. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Roy Kline gave his report. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Larry Adams. Treasurer's report carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Jack has started organizing the library last month.

Show Committee:

Show Person Danny Conley talked about the show. The show will be 25 and 26 of October, we will be in the Exposition Hall, do we want more wood.

Old Business:

This Saturday April 12, is the Camp Carson Bow Shoot; 2934 Outer Lake, Princeton , Indiana; at 7:30 A.M. setup. We have Richard, Jack, Jon, and Robin volunteering.

Sales/trade table we have items of Kathy's over there.

40 Year patches for the club.

This year's nametag competition will be held at our August meeting. We will have a group for novice and experienced.

New Business:

Fair Committee was wondering if we would like to show our carving's to the public during the fair. Deciding next month. Cost is 200 dollars for the week and we man the tables July 21 thru 26.

Show and Tell:

Kathy Vonderahe showed her two Santa's.

Roy Kline showed his rabbit with overalls.

Jan Weiss showed her penguins, owl, and hearts.

Richard Hitch showed his bear with a fish and whale.

Marvin Daniels showed his aspen broom and broom.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and given to Robin Meyer.

A huge thank you to Frank Wildeman for doing the mini seminar this month.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Alan Bailey. Motion approved. Meeting adjourned.
