MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

May 9, 2023 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Mark Meyer.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Minutes to approve the minutes for April meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Dan Alldredge. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Roy Kline gave his report. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Steve Eli. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Nothing new to report in the library.

Show Committee:

We still need a show chair person. Browns are planning on coming to our show. The Wood Turnrners will be joining us this year for our show. Mark you calendars and save the date of October 28 and 29 of 2023; at the 4 H Center.

Old Business:

Camp Carson was a big hit. Thank you Jack Winckleman, Jon Gunnels, Frank Wildeman, Mark Meyer, and Robin Meyer.

New Business:

Shannon Ulewicz was wondering if we were willing to go to Toyota to soap carve with the Teens instead of carving in Evansville like we did last year. Jeff Hancock made a motion to table this until we get more information. It was seconded by Dan Alldredge. We tabled this until next month.

Seminars:

Robin Meyer has tonight's seminar.

Show and Tell:

Jack Winkleman showed his Doug Linkner carving mountain men and santa.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her ledge santa, santa, santa with bird and letter opener.

Dan Alldredge showed his bark carvings and walking stick with a moral mushroom on it.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and given to Jack Winkleman; who donated to the club.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made a motion to adjourn and Jack Winkleman seconded. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting is Tuesday, June 13, 2023
