Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:02 P.M. by President Jack Winkleman.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the November meeting was made by Jan Weiss and seconded by Frank Wildeman. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Roy Kline gave his report. We have been given three donations from Toyota. Motion was made by Kathy Vonderahe and seconded by Erv Leidolf. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Nothing new in the library. We have study sticks, study casts of birds and other animals, books, and other items.

Show Committee:

We need a Show Chair. Erv Leidolf made a motion that we have a show and it was seconded by Marvin Daniels. We have ten people that would want to have tables at the show; that were at the meeting.

Old Business:

Thank you to Marvin Daniels and his Granddaughter for entertaining all that were at the December Christmas Party. It was wonderful.

Thank you to everyone that helped with the Christmas party. Special thank you to Kathy Vonderahe and Robin Meyer for directions and table settings.

Pieces of wood large wood timber basswood and yellow timber poplar. Make an offer on pieces of timber.

Signup sheet on the table for Rich Wetherbee seminar. One spot open. We have a stand by list.

New Business:

Sales/trade table. A place to sell, trade, or give away tools, books, etc. you are no longer using.

Jack Winkleman sent out inquires to 4 groups pf club members to get a feel for what the Club might be interested in at the 2024 club meetings. Suggestions include.

a) Tool sharpening b) Basic carving technics i.e. carving with the grain. c) Classes on carving eyes and noses. d) Tool swap/sale table.

Seminars:

Upcoming mini seminars include: Jack Winkleman in January, Frank Wildeman in February. Covered in old business, Bethy and Rich Wetherbee will be in the area this year and have set up a seminar with our club. So far everyone has selected Wood Carving. We will have a two day seminar. The dates are April 5 and 6, 2024. Cost will be $170 per student plus the cost of roughout. Spaces are full but we have a standby list in the event someone can not make it at the time of the seminar. If anyone else is interested , there is a signup list on table.

Show and Tell:

Marvin Daniels showed his gnome, outhouse, and santa ornament.

Frank Wildeman showed his dogwood blossom.

Janie Hall showed her santa and her dog.

Jack Winkleman showed his Purdue Pete and chip carved plaques.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her owl and horse.

Dan showed his ram head.

Jon showed a wood tool WEP from amazon.

Half Pot:

Half-pot was won and given to Kathy Vonderahe.

Adjournment:

Richard Hitch made a motion to adjourn and seconded by Bill Kelly. Motion approved. Meeting adjourned.
