MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

January 10, 2023 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Mark Meyer. We welcomed guest Angela. President Mark brought up that the club dues are now 25 dollars.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes for November meeting was made by Frank Wildeman and seconded by Alan Bailey. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Past Treasurer Jon Gunnels gave the report. Jon said that we got a twenty-five dollar check from Toyota. Motion was made by Kathy Vonderahe and seconded by Jan Weiss. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Librarian was not there; so no discussion.

Show Committee:

We need show chair person. Any Volunteer? Need to start talking and thinking about it. Any ideas. Mark read a thank you card from the show for an ornament that was sent out.

Old Business:

Christmas Party...about 22 members and partners attended. Club provided fried chicken. Kathy Vonderahe did a wonderful job with decorations and door prizes. Had one new member join at party. Thank you to Marvin Daniels for the wonderful entertainment.

New Business:

1. Ideas/Volunteers for upcoming meetings.
2. Volunteers for the Finance Committee.
3. Volunteers for the Audit Committee.
4. Please keep all the Club members that are under the weather in prayers and thoughts.

Seminars:

Tonight, Kathy will provide the seminar on a butterfly necklace. Other ideas for seminars? Feb? March? We will be passing around a list for sign-ups for future seminars.

Show and Tell:

Frank Wildeman showed his 14 foot 3 inch chain and little pinecone ornament.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her comfort cross and snowman.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and given to Alan Bailey.

Adjournment:

Richard Hitch made a motion to adjorn and Alan Bailey seconded. Motion carried. Meeting was adjorned.

The next meeting is Tuesday, february 14, 2023.

A big thank you to Kathy Vonderahe for doing the mini seminar on the butterfly necklace.
